In other news, I'm working on the 2010 edition of the HP Calendar similiar to the one I offered last year. The cost will be the same as last year $15 including postage within the US - outside the US there is an additional cost for postage.




This years edition will include: Harry, Draco, Neville, Lucius, Sirius, Severus, Blaise, Bill, Charlie, Cormack, Oliver, and Regulus (my interpretation of him anyway). More details to follow on the calendar in the next couple of weeks.

I hope everyone who celebrates it had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We spent it with the in-laws and Maintenance Man's brother and sister and their families. It was nice, actually. Played Hand and Foot and stuffed ourselves silly.

My turkey is in the roaster, stuffed and happy, I have 3 dozen freshly baked yeast rolls, a coffee cake, pecan pie all done. The pumpkin pie is in the oven and the broccoli casserole is about to be made. Next it's the pretzel salad and then I can sit down with a cup of coffee and read the paper.

3. There’s a coffee ring stain on my X-men. I know I accidentally burned down Dad’s office, but a man’s comics are sacred.

4. Ryan kissed me to shut me up. Twice. (!!!)

5. Did a Samuel L. Jackson impression under my breath. Was sharing my bucket of popcorn, extra butter, with Ryan, when our shoulders bumped together. It was nice; not Summer-in-a-Wonder-Woman-outfit nice, but getting there.

Notes: Adult! Set pre-curse, I guess. I'm a manga-only girl, so this isn't going to square with the Arcobaleno stuff that's coming down the anime pipeline. Smut, swearing, Colonnello and Reborn being asses to each other, 1706 words. Dedicated to wolfy_chan, whose smoking hot Reborn and Colonnello art that inspired this.

( Colonnello blinked once at the news, and then said, 'Bet you're going to miss fucking, huh?' It was a refreshing change from the wide-eyed looks of sympathy mingled with relief at not being the one chosen, so when he pulled his gun on Colonnello, Reborn didn't bother shooting to kill. )

So, today Trina wanted me to share with her some of my favourite music videos from when I was a kid. The first one I thought of was Too Funky by George Michael.

I played it for her and she asked me, then, why it was a favourite. I sat there awkwardly for a while, not quite able to explain it. My favourite was the model in the metal bikini suit thing. Embedding was disallowed. I still love this vid. After, I showed her Jeremy and Black Hole Sun. Then I showed her Schism, which she thought was cool, and Thunderkiss '65, which led to a very short viewing of Beavis and Butthead so she could understand the context in which I first saw the video.

Listening to Too Funky also makes me want to write porn again.

Also, I snuck over to fanficrants today for one reason and another and was struck but the plethora of crap. I mean...most of my rants consist of "use the right word, plz" and "get a beta before I spork my eyes" and stuff like that. Though, I don't usually make posts about it. I just think it. REALLY HARD. I get rants about subtle bigotry/misogyny/etc within fics, but for other things, sometimes I just want to say stfu and read something else. I mean...isn't this what google chat is for? Bitching to your friends about stupid shit you've read but are too polite to comment on, and in that fashion, in public?

( Oh God. *cries* Show, you hurt me so much. And I love you for it. )

Aziraphale had, on several occasions*, persuaded Crowley to take over his angelic duties. When it is his turn to be Crowley's stand-in, he tempts impoverished students** to make splurges on books at Amazon.
